Residence

John 14:23. Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and take up residence with him.

We think of our residence with God as bring in the future when we are no longer in this world. In reality God resides with us the moment we receive Jesus into our hearts, minds and life as our Savior and our Lord. Our problem is we are so distracted by the physical word around us and fail to see the spiritual word within us. As we increase our prayer and meditation time we will increase our sensitivity to God within us. The question is which world do we want to be most aware: the physical or the spiritual? We can be fully aware of the spiritual and have a major inactions on the physical. Actually the spiritual will give us the power to have more of an impact on the physical.
