Deuteronomy 16:17. Every one of you must give as you are able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God that he has given you.

In our church we gather together for a Christmas fellowship of food and gift exchange. The gifts are to be under $5, used items in our homes or re-gifting what we got from someone else. We make a fun game with it. During Advent we celebrate the God’s gift to us — His Son, Jesus. This is a gift we are always to re-gift. When we re-gift God’s gift we find we still have the gift but it is now shared and shining bigger. There is no end to the limits of re-gifting God’s gift. This re-gifting is not a game but brings more joy than any game or party man can ever experience. We may not have the funds to give others expensive gifts but we can give others the most costly gift ever given. Let us choose to give the news of God’s gift to others we meet.
