1 Thessalonians 4:11. and that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your hands, even as we charged you;

We tend to want to know everything. Then we tend to give someone advise even when they don’t ask. Unasked for advise will often bring strained feelings and often harsh words. In this verse we are told to “mind our own business.” When we ask someone to do seething, if we want it done in a certain way those directions should be included in the request. If we aren’t upfront with specific directions we should allow them to do the task in the way they think best and we should limit our words to “thank you.” A humble person doesn’t think they know what is best. I have enough trouble keeping myself in line with God’s word, I definitely don’t know how others should do their tasks or live their lives. What I do have to share with them is God’s path to salvation and the love He has for them. What do I study to be quiet? I study the word of God. That is the reflect advice book for all people and all situations.
