Phil 2:1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

Fellowship is defined as a group of people who share a common interest and/or purpose. When Christians fellowship together they are sharing their common purpose of praising and loving God and their interest in growing closer to Him and to each other. So many come to church without interacting with other believers or in the service. They come out of duty of conscience. When we come together we are to share with each other: share our love of God, our successes during the week, our struggles during the week, and as we do this we encourage each other to continue to grow in His love and for His glory. Our question is are we really in fellowship with other believers? Are we really in fellowship with God? If we are not sharing which is giving and receiving we are not in fellowship. This is another area where we can grow in unity and therefore in the power of God to make disciples for His glory.
