Cain’s Problem

Genesis 4:8. Cain said to his brother Abel, “Lets go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

What was Cain’s problem. Cain thought Abel was his problem. He thought Abel was standing between him and God. After Eve and Adam first disobeyed God love turned into self-love. Mankind decided it was up to self to be sure self had all self needed and wanted. Anemone who stood between self and desires was (and is) considered a threat. Cain lashed out at his perceived threat and killed his brother. We still do this. Many times we don’t physically kill someone’s body but with our words or actions we do kill their spirit. This is all because we presume Thea are standing between us and something we want. It might even be because we think they are looked upon be others as being better than we are. Our willingness to sacrifice ourselves and reach out in God’s love is missing. God’s love wants the best for each person. Let us rejoice over the victories and accomplishments of others. Let’s be encouragers not defeat ears. Let’s love fellow mankind with the love of God.
