Too Fast

Job 3:26 I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil.

Life today moves at an incredibly fast pace. Days, weeks, months and years seem to go by every so fast. We think we have so very much to do we are going all the time. Our bodies get tired, our minds get tired and our spirits get depleted. God has answers for us. (Mark. 6:31) “Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.’” How do we do this? We go somewhere quiet and alone and (Psalms. 46:10) We are to “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” As we sit quietly before God we find His peace and rest return to our minds and bodies and gradually allow His Holy Spirit to refill us and charge our batteries. Lamentations 3:26 sums it up, “it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” Let us draw to a quiet place often and wait for our Lord.
