I Am Your Holy One

Isaiah 43:15. I am the Lord, your Holy One, the one who created Israel, your king.”

God describes Himself as our Holy One, our King and our Lord. In countries ruled by kings the king had all authority and decided the direction for the country and all in it. The king took credit for all that was good and blamed others when things didn’t go the way he wanted. No one could initiate a conversation with the ling unless he started it himself. No one could sit in the presence of the king. God, our Lord and King is different from the ruling kings of this world. God is our Holy One and all He desires goes the way He wants with one exception. God desires for all mankind to be in a His family but mankind has the right to choose or reject. God will give many opportunities but will not force. As the creator of love God knows love can’t be forced or earned. Love can only be given and received. In Revelation 3:20 we read, “Listen! I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home and share a meal with him, and he with me.” Our God is waiting at the door of our being, waiting to have His love for us received. Our question is have we opened all our doors for Him to come in and be our Lord and King? We have so many rooms in ourselves. Witch room has a door and none of the doors can be opened from the outside? Let’s take time today for God to reveal to us any doors that are still shut. Let’s open all our doors and be totally immersed in God’s love.
