For the Entire Body

Mark 16:12-13. After this he appeared in a different form to two of them while they were on their way to the country. They went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

Here is another case of not believing. We tend to think if we don’t hear, see or experience something for ourselves it is not true. We don’t know what is meant be “a different form,” but they did recognize Jesus. This may be the same event in Luke 24:13 “Now that very day two of them were on their way to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. These were 2 of the disciples who had heard the tomb was empty. They were going back to their own town. We like to be in our own homes when we’re confused or scared. They were talking about what the missing body meant when Jesus joined them. They did not recognize Him and were amazed He questioned them on what had just taken place in Jerusalem. Surely by now everyone had heard. Then Jesus started explaining the prophecies of the Old Scriptures and how they had just been fulfilled. As He left they realized Who He is and quickly returned to tell the rest of them. We all have varied spiritual experiences. We seldom talk about them for fear of unbelief from those we tell. When we keep our mouths shut we are quenching the Holy Spirit. God wants us to share what He tells us and does for us. We are all members of one Body and must learn to put behind the individualism of the world. Let’s share something with someone today.
