Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

After Jesus acknowledged His authority He said “Go.” This is a word of action. We cannot go passively. We must make every effort to go. What are we to do when we go? We are to make disciples. A disciple according to Easton Dictionary of the Bible “believes his doctrine, (2) rests on his sacrifice, (3) imbibes his spirit, and (4) imitates his example.” We can’t go make disciples like that if we don’t believe in the doctrine of Jesus, rest in His sacrifice for our sins, have His Holy Spirit active within us and imitate the way He lived and ministered in our own lives. Before we can go we must spend time in prayer and meditation asking God to show us the areas within us which are at odds with being a disciple of Jesus.
