Real Life

John 1:3-5 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

We’ve read about Light. .Even though it shines in the darkness our sin blocks it out. In sin is death. Without light is death. Living things need light to live. Life is within light. Since God is the Source of Light life is only possible in Him and His Light. Praise God He knew the fallibility of the man He created and prearranged for His Light to shine through man’s sin and bring man back into the life God desired to give him. Life eternal is in God and God is in mankind. He sent His Word, His Son Jesus, Who had always been with God in His Light into this world through a woman so He would be a real man along with still being the real Word, God’s Son. As Jesus walked this earth, experiencing the walk we each must make, He showed us how to walk it in the Light of God. He not only showed us, He taught us and through listening people had His teachings and examples written down to be living words for us to follow. Then he did the ultimate. He allowed Himself to be separated from the Father for the first time while He took on our sins on that cruel cross of death. He had to take sin to death so God’s light could enter back into us. It is only through coming to Jesus and allowing Him to enter our hearts, minds and lives that we can see God’s light and learn to walk in the light and love Jesus demonstrated so we can have real life for all eternity in the presence of God. Our question is we staying in His Light or trying to walk in and out of it?
