Hebrews. 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling,
fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom
we confess

We can’t adore someone we don’t know. We might be infatuated with someone we’ve seen or heard but the infatuation can fade away as we get to know them. We are curious about the power of God and Who He is but, until we begin to know Him we cannot adore Him. Many of us spend much time learning about a hobby we enjoy, a sport, a job task and many other things. Many of us consume fiction books. None of these things are wrong. But what we need concentrate on is where our first and most attention is focused. When we focus on God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit through Bible study, prayer and meditation we find all other parts of our lives come into order. It is not God’s desire to take away the good He gives us in this world but to give us His best so our lives can be full and abundant in His love and power along with all He has for us on this earth. Do not be afraid of losing what you love when you come to God. Be excited about all you’ll gain and enjoy even more.
