Always Learning

Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.

How do you thing Jesus grew in wisdom and stature? He was here physically as man, in the body made just like our bodies. He had to eat, exercise His muscles, and teach His brain. He didn’t just coast through life expecting His Father to infuse or tell Him what He needed when He needed it. He went to school, learned, studied and memorized the scriptures and learned a profession. He learned to be obedient to His parents and get along with His friends. Our question is, if Jesus had to learn through these things what about us? How much more do we need to study and memorize the scriptures? Jesus already was when all happened, we weren’t. How much more do we need to memorize the scriptures? How much more do we need to learn to be obedient to our Father, God and to get along with others? Life is work and we must follow the example of our Lord, Jesus Christ by putting in the effort to learn more of God, learn how to sustain our life through jobs we perform ourselves and learn how to get along with all those God has placed on this earth with us. Let us never stop learning and let us instill in the children of our world a thirst to learn of God and of the world He created for us to live in and care for.
