Psalms 119:15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.

Psalms 119 is full of reading, memorizing and meditating on God’s Word. It talks about putting His word in our hearts, meditating on it day and night. Take time to read it in its entirety. Then we must ask ourselves the question, what book do we spend the most time reading? Do we just read the Bible or do we take time to pray and meditate on what we read? Do we ask God to reveal to us what we need for that day in understanding His direction for us? We’ve just finished reading an exciting novel. We can tell someone what we read, probably with enough excitement to entice them to read it. What about when we read the Bible? Are we excited enough about what we read to share it with someone in a way that will make them want to read it for themselves? Let’s get honest with ourselves then let’s ask God’s Holy Spirit to rekindle in us that excitement to ingest His Word.
