2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Think about this: the very same God who spoke the word to form light out of darkness is the very same God Who sent His only Son, Jesus to shine God’s light in our hearts and give us the knowledge of God’s glory through Jesus. Thai very thought amazed Paul as he wrote his second letter to the Corinthians. It amazes me also. The light God first formed was a new creation. It took recreation to form that light within us. This lighting was very costly to God. He had to separate Himself from His loving, obedient Son while Jesus took on the sins of all mankind for all eternity. Let’s not forget He did this for all mankind so we must respect those others for whom God gave His Son.
