Psalms 119:103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

There are 2 types of candy eaters: 1 sucks on the candy enjoying its sweetness and the other chews it up. There are 2 types of readers; 1 scans the words aiming to get to the end and the other savors the beauty and meaning of the words. When we read God’s written word do we, as this psalmist, fully taste and savor them, allowing them to slowly digest and absorb into our entire being? I get a lot of requests to write longer devotions. These devotions are meant to be a jump-start on your own personal devotion. Sometimes they might lead you on to more in-depth study on the quoted scripture or the subject and sometimes they may lead you a totally different direction. What’s important is for us to get all the vitamins and minerals into our system to produce growth and health. Let us learn to take the time to fully savor the written word of God all the way down to the smallest word. Don’t chew up the candy, let it dissolve completely.
