Reasonable Service

Romans 12:1. Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice-alive, holy, and pleasing to God-which is your reasonable service.

God gives us salvation by grace through Jesus. It is free to us but God expects us to do certain things. We will look at some of those for a few days. Here we read God expects us to present our bodies to Him in a certain condition. We are to be alive, actively participating in His work. We are to be pleasing to Him. It pleases a parent when their child is obedient and loving. It pleases a parent when their child loves the siblings and gets along with them. Through God we have a lot of siblings. Do we love all of them? Do we get along with all of them? I’ve seen many tempers flare in churches from people who confess to love God. One of our reasonable services to God is to love and get along with each other. We may need to bite our tongues for the love of our God and His children.
