Who’ s at Work

Philippians 2:13. for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Since it is God Who works in us Why is it so hard for us to do both His will and work? God, through His Holy Spirit works in us a desire to be pleasing to Him and doing His will. He doesn’t force us. He wants us to respond to Him through love and through that love, obedience. Our part is to receive Jesus into our hearts, minds and lives and allow His Holy Spirit to work the desire within us. As our desire grows our love and desire to be obedient in service to God and His creations grows. As this grows we release more of the power of God through us. Our question is do we really desire to grow in Him and be pleasing to Him? Even though it is God’s work, not ours, it is through us God desires to do His work. Let’s be willing and eager vessels.
