Growing Faith and Love

2 Thessalonians 1:3. We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

Faith and love walk and grow hand in hand. We can’t have faith without love and can’t love (God’s love) without faith. Looking at either one is a good measure in how we are growing. For faith and love to be real and alive they both must be in an active stage of growth. Either they grow each and every day or they slowly die. When we’re driving down the street and see a homeless person what is in our mind (and heart)? Is there someone in our church we would like to avoid? Jesus doesn’t avoid anyone. Would we rather not really listen to what someone has to say? Praise God, He always listens to us. Let’s give thanks for all whom God brings across our path and allow His love and faith grow in us.
