Justification

Romans 3:28. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

This verse isn’t saying faith justifies us. Faith is the way we receive justification. The only justification is Jesus taking our sins on the cross and paying the price for our forgiveness. It is our faith in Jesus as the Son of God, the Word of God made flesh that we can be justified as forgiven and children of God. All we have to bring is our sin for, apart from Jesus in us, there can be no justification. Faith is receiving Christ. It is not our doing but His doing by the grace and love of God. We can’t boast about our faith for it is given us by God. Our only contribution is receiving and using it in our daily walk. Our question is what are we doing with the faith God has given us? Faith is a fruit of God’s Spirit and must be used to grow. Let us allow faith to grow.
