Spoken in Confidence

John 11:41-44. ” So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.” When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.””

There’ say lot in these few verses. Notice the first thing Jesus does is assess the problem. Nothing can happen as long as the stone blocks the door. The next thin He does is turn to God, the Father, acknowledging His faith at one with the Father. After moving the blockage (the stone) out of the way and praying in faith to God, the Father, Jesus speaks the word of faith. He doesn’t as but commands with complete confidence it will happen. He had to address Lazarus by name so others wouldn’t come forth as well. How do we apply this to our own life? We must remove the blockage, a heart of stone or doubt. We must bring it to God the Father in faith. We must release it into existence be speaking without doubt. The question is do we really believe God at His word?
