The Cost of Love

Acts 2:33. ” Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.”

God the Father must have promised Jesus, His Son, He would give Jesus the Holy Spirit to pour out to His followers after He suffered on the cross and ascended back to the Father’s throne. We are the recipients of that promise. That was a very costly promise to both God the Father and God the Son. They had to experience separation for the first and only time as Jesus took on Himself the sins of all mankind for all eternity. The Father had to watch the Son suffer and the sin had to suffer. Only an immense amount of love would motivate God to do such a thing. We can never thank Him enough for what He (They) did for us. We can learn to walk in obedience with praise and thanksgiving. We can also do our part to be sure no one is unaware of such great love. Our question is are we?
