Acts 1:3. ” He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.”

Jesus did a lot of teaching those 40 days between His resurrection and His ascension. He was preparing 120 very scared and confused people to establish His church. He explained the scriptures we now call the Old Testament, the prophecies about Him and what that the Holy Spirit would give them the power and understanding to build up the Church and bring Him glory. We read later in Acts the transformation the Holy Spirit’s in-dwelling made on those 120 scared, hiding and confused people. Our question is what transformation have we allowed the in-filling of God’s Holy Spirit to make within us? Are we spreading the news of Jesus’ forgiveness? Are we speaking with boldness and courage? If not, let us consider why.
