Matthew 22:37-39 ” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 28:19. ” Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

These 4 verses must go together. We can’t live God and our neighbor if we don’t go to all people to make disciples (followers) for Jesus. We can’ take disciples for Jesus if we don’t love God and others with all our heart, soul and mind. Neither command is possible without the other. The love these verses refers to is the love of commitment and trust. It is not necessarily an emotion though the emotion might be present. We are to want God’s best for all others and love God enough to do our part to see not one of Hos creations remains separated from Him. .
