Be Still

Psalms 4610 “Be still, and know that I am God.

We’ve been married long enough to just enjoy being quiet in each other’s presence. In our quietness together we feel the love that has grown over the years. We are each very aware of the other’s presence and love and the stillness brings joy and peace. It is even more so being still in the presence of God. Just to sit in quietness knowing His presence refreshes, refuels and restores the spirit within us. Gradually, as the stillness progresses and deepens we are aware of hearing our God speak words of love to us. I enjoy the stillness during my sunrise walk. The earth seems to join me in the stillness and God paints the sky as I enjoy the stillness of His presence within and around me. Let’s be sure to take time to be still and know our God.
