Rituals and Laws

Hebrews 10:1 For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near.

Many think the Old Testament rituals and laws were not related to the personification of Christ. Christ was not only the fulfillment and embodiment of the rituals and laws, He was and is the rituals and law. God didn’t have a plan A for Eden and changed to a plan B. God gave mankind enough freedom and provided for what man would do. As we read the rituals of the Old Testament ask the Holy Spirit to show us how each is embodied in Christ. As we read the laws in Deuteronomy we can see how Christ fulfilled all of God’s laws. He did this knowing that mankind was incapable of fulfilling these laws and rituals. We are fulfilled through Christ. This makes a good Bible study when you’re not sure what to study, especially the ritual symbolism of the Old Testament.
