Missing Opportunities

Acts 3:7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

Sometimes God wants us to put feet on our prayers. Maybe during the night God leads us to pray for a friend. We don’t know why but we pray for them. Maybe later in the day that prayer comes back to our mind. We pick up the phone and call. Our friend needs a friend to talk with. If we had not followed through our friend and ourselves would miss out on a blessing. Peter knew this. He and John went to the temple every day to pray. Every day that lame man was there begging for help. One day, Peter and John listened to the urging of God’s Holy Spirit. They stopped, prayed and extended their hand to help the man to his feet. We are so busy with our agendas we fail to see what is around us. So often we miss being God’s hands and feet. Let us go about our busy days with an eye and ear open to “interruptions” to our schedule and be sensitive to what God has for us.
