Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

Many have trouble with the concept of the Triune God, God in three Persons. God says He is the only God, the only Lord, Yet we read in Matthew 3:6-7 “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear we hear from God, the Father speaking to God, the Son and sending down God the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. This is the trinity, the God in three Persons. The three are unified in the Godhead. Each of the three has a purpose yet are one in the purpose. We read in Genesis that God created us in His Image. He wants us to be unified ass one in our relationships and purpose. Our purpose is to have fellowship with God and with each other. A good Bible study would be to study the purpose of each part of the Godhead. Go deeper than God, the Father creating everything through Jesus, the Son, the Word made flesh and the Holy Spirit Who dwells in each believer. Get to know each person of the trinity, not only a head knowledge but an intimate knowledge through experiencing and communicating with all three.
