Keeping the Flame through Encouragement

Hebrews 10:25a not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some

We hear so many claim they don’t have to go to church to be a Christian. That is true but that is also disobedience to God’s word. We are not to avoid the gathering of the saints. We are to meet together In the last half of this verse we read, “but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near..” We are to meet together not only to worship together but to encourage each other in our faith walk. After a hard, stressful, trying week coming together with other believers is like a vitamin shot. But this can only happen if we remember we are to come to encourage and worship, not to come and gossip, criticize or complain. Let us make a habit of being encouragers of others and in the process we will also be encouraged.
