Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding

I know someone who doesn’t take things at face value. He must continue to question and find answers on his own until he understands it. He even must do this with people he says he trusts. We tend to do this with God. We demand to understand the why of what we see, feel and experience. We say we trust God but we demand to understand the why of everything. Why did God allow our family member to die so early in life? Why does God let so many of His children to suffer? On and on with our questions. There are times God does give us understanding of certain actions or events. We praise Him for those times. But with understanding comes responsibility. Usually it leads to more action on our part. Let us accept and trust our God’s wisdom and walk with Him as a little child. Sometimes we tell the little child where we are taking them and why but sometimes we just expect the little child to walk obediently beside us with the child knowing the security of his hand in ours. Let’s keep our hand in God’s hand.
