When Doubts Come

Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

It is natural to doubt from time to time. Our question is what do we do with our doubts? When we find our faith faltering we need to go to God’s written word, The Holy Bible. We need to read it in a prayerful attitude, slowly, with the help of God’s Holy Spirit. We are not to look for a quick fix but a firm foundation. It takes time to develop a deep, unmoving faith. I was taught by my dad that anything worth doing is worth a full investment of time and energy. Just because we’ve read the Bible from cover to cover once or twice doesn’t mean we really know what it says. It takes study and meditation. Many have studied how to do a certain thing that they need to know for just a short while. We need to know God throughout eternity. How much more do we seek that knowledge over knowledge of worldly things? Let us get our priorities in order.
