Who’s First

Philippians 2:6-8 who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.

Pride is mankind’s greatest struggle. We see it in actions and hear it in words. We even hear it in our prayers. We are so intent on asking God to do what we want. That shows an attitude of God serving us. We need to develop an attitude of us serving God. We need to learn to ask God what He wants to do through us. There’s nothing we, in and of ourselves, can do for God. But God has chosen to work through our hands and feet and speak through our mouths. There is nothing wrong with asking Him for things but in what proportion do we ask. When we ask for more than we are willing to allow Him to do or say through us we are putting ourselves before God. Let us put Him first in our prayers, words, thoughts and actions,
