Enoch

Genesis 5:21-22 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters

We don’t know much about Enoch other than after his first-born, Methuselah, Enoch was known for walking with God,. Imagine how it would be to be known for walking with God,. There is nothing else we need to know about a person who is walking with God. To walk with God takes faith and assurance. Enoch had that faith. His faith is recorded in the faith chapter in Hebrews 11. We must examine how and when we walk with God, Do we just walk with Him on Sunday morning, maybe Sunday night and perhaps once in the middle of the week? The Bible doesn’t limit the times Enoch walked with God,. He was so consistent in his walk that God took him up into heaven without his experiencing physical death. We don’t know anything about how Enoch walked before the birth of his first son. Apparently it didn’t matter how Enoch walked then. What counts is Enoch, as an adult, walked with God. We can walk with God also. We have an advantage Enoch didn’t have. We have the gift of God’s Holy Spirit to guide us in our walk. Our question is, do we take the time to listen to the gentle, quiet promptings of the Holy Spirit or do we just rush on by our own fallible intellect? Let us strive to walk with God consistently
