John 20:16 Jesus said to her, “Mary. “She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

Mary was grieving the loss of Jesus. She came to anoint His body because there wasn’t time before the start of the Sabbath. As she arrive she was consumed with fear and confusion. The tomb was empty. What could have happened to the body of her Lord? Then she heard her name. There was a loving, warm familiarity about how her name was said. She recognized the voice and the way He said her name. What joy she must have felt to see Jesus standing and very alive. Our question is do we hear Him calling our name? He knows each one of us by our name. Do we listen for Him? Do we recognize His voice? He is very much alive today and desires for us to hear Him calling us. Let us learn to always be listening and recognizing the sound of His voice within us.
