2 Timothy 3:16 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, (NIV)

There are many different translations of God’s Holy Word.  Most of us latch on to one.  It is good to read various translations for different ways of wording the same thoughts can open us up to new understanding.  I recently watch a video version of the Gospel of John.  It stayed right with the written text but also included action.  It was very refreshing.  It also instilled in me a strong desire to re-read this gospel in several versions again.  As we come closer to the season of Advent, let’s open ourselves up to rereading and meditation on scripture in a version we haven’t read, or at least not read in a while.  This helps to heighten our excitement and refreshes His Word in our minds and enables us to put new zest in our actions for His glory.
