Proverbs 15:1 1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. (NIV)

For many this is a 4-day weekend.  Many are trying to do too much.  People are getting tired.  Tempers tend to flare and words are spoken without thought.  Quite often harsh words are spoken before thought is given to why we are angry.  We just erupt.  In this day of so many things being instantaneous, we thing we should speak instantaneously.  So many misspoken words would never be spoken if we would take just a quick moment and check out what we think we want to say with what God wants us to say.  It’s in the scripture.  We are to use words that build one another up, not words to tare others down.  Harsh and angry words never mend; they always tear down.  When we are tired we tend to think less and react more.  Let us commit our day and time to God before we arise from our beds.  God has our day planned and it will never be more than we can withstand.  When we start with praise it is harder for anger to enter.  Keep our celebrations during this holiday season full of love, peace and encouragement.
