Matthew 2:11 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. (NIV)

Myrrh comes from a small bushy tree. It is an expensive spice, used for making perfume, incense, medicine, and for anointing the dead.  It is considered to be a spice for a king.

The Bible cites myrrh s three times in the life and death of Jesus Christ. The above verse in Matthew states that the Kings visited the child Jesus, bringing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Mark notes that when Jesus was dying on the cross, someone offered him wine mixed with myrrh to stop the pain, but he did not take it. Finally,  says Nicodemus brought a mixture of 75 pounds of myrrh and aloes to anoint Jesus’ body when it was laid in the tomb.  It was a much-treasured spice for kings.  Our question is what do we highly treasure that we can bring to our King, Jesus.  What is most valuable to us?  Is it our money, our time, or talents or whatever we highly treasure?  Let is give of our treasure to our King, Jesus to be used in glorifying Him and bringing others to glorify Him.
