Matthew 2:22 22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, Matthew 2:23 23 and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene. (NIV)

Even more prophecies are fulfilled.  We often question the circumstances we find we must walk through.  Here is another example of a circumstance that changed Joseph’s direction and caused a prophecy to be fulfilled.  When we find a circumstance has changed our direction we need to take time to pray and ask God what we are to do.  God speaks to us in many different ways.  The primary way is through His written word, the Holy Bible.  He also speaks to us through that still, inner voice of His Holy Spirit within us.  He also speaks to us through others who are mature in their faith.  He also speaks to us through our circumstances.  Instead of complaining, we need to embrace the circumstance and ask God for wisdom in walking through the new circumstance.  When we are determined to evade a new circumstance by walking around it or totally resisting it and staying the course we were on we miss God’s blessing for us on the other side.  As we continue to celebrate the first coming of our Savior to this earth let us also be open to any circumstance God chooses to allow to come to us, trusting His wisdom to guide us through and into His blessing for us.
