Joint Heirs

Matthew 4:9 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Jesus knew His purpose was to worship God.  He also knew all in existence was already His.  We were created to fellowship with and worship God.  Because we are joint heirs with Jesus we already own all that is in existence.  We are here to be good steward of all that is.  When God created us in His image He put a space in us that needs to worship.  When we choose to put anything else ahead of God, we are worshiping whatever we put ahead of God.  Because that space God put in us is for Him and Him alone, nothing else will satisfy that space.  We can keep changing what we worship, what we put before God, but nothing will every satisfy.  When we find ourselves not satisfied we need to see what it is we are putting before God.  A full, abundant life can only be found as we worship God, putting Him first in all things.
