Matthew 4:23 23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people (NIV)

Jesus call 2 more brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John, then continues (Matthew 4:23  NIV) teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.  He does this walking throughout Galilee.  News of His teaching and healing travels fast.  Sometimes it seems bad new travels faster than good news.  It seems today bad news gets more press than good news does.  The news programs start out with the bad news.  Sometimes they end with a small good news item.  Gossip is usually about bad news and negative things about other people.  The world would be so much better if we would be more eager to spread good news quickly and pray over the bad we hear rather than being the ones to pass it on.  Wouldn’t be wonderful if we were as excited over good news rather than acting excited over the bad?  We must consider what kind of news we pass on to others.  What do we do with the bad news we hear?  Do we just pass it on showing we’re “in the know” or do we take this bad news to the throne of God for His intercession?  Let’s do as Jesus and proclaim the good news throughout the kingdom where we find ourselves.
