Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God (NIV)

Peacemakers are children of God because to be full of peace we must be full of God’s Holy Spirit.  To be full of God’s Holy Spirit we must be forgiven and forgiving.  Without forgiveness, there can’t be peace. When peace is within us we carry it with us and show it to others by our words and actions.  Quite often a peacemaker is an arbitrator helping others come to terms with issues and come into God’s peace.  We all seek after peace.  It is our nature to seek peace.  God is peace so when we seek peace we are seeking God.  As we allow more of God into our lives, our families, our neighborhoods, our cities, our states, our nation and the world, we will find peace.  We can’t just pray for peace.  We must embody it in us, our words and actions through the Holy Spirit.  Our question is are we at peace with God, with ourselves and with others?  Let us ask God to show us any area within us where we haven’t allowed His peace to enter.
