Matthew 6:6 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you (NIV)

Prayer.  One of my favorite subjects and favorite things to do.  I enjoy talking to God throughout my day but I also take special time to go into my prayer place and leaving all possible interruptions away, pray to God.  It is important to have a special place where we won’t be distracted to really talk to our Father.  If we are around electronics or see jobs that must be done, we can easily be distracted.  Distraction is one of Satan’s weapons.  He doesn’t want us talking to God, let alone listen to Him.  I live in a small park model so don’t have a room.  I do have a loft that is free of distractions.  John Wesley didn’t even have that so she would sit in her kitchen chair and pull her apron over her head.  This blocked her eyes from distraction and gave a strong message to the children to be quiet and leave her alone while she had her time with her Father.  Let us be sure we have a place, free from distractions, where all we do there is pray.  It becomes a special place (or small area) and can even be called a “war room” when we do intercession for others.
