Which Master

Matthew 6:24 24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money (NIV)

When we think about what or who is number one in our life we must look at how we spend our time.  What or who is our priority.  We must work at a job 40 hours a week and we have family needs to attend which take time.  But our attitude in doing it tells a lot.  In Colossians 3:23  we read “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”  We can go to work because we want power or money or we can go to work as a vessel for God’s provision for those around us.  We can care for our family needs from obligation or we can care for them because God has entrusted them to us.  We can spend our free time pursuing our own fleshly desires or we can spend our free time worshiping, serving and learning more about God.  Let us reflect on where God really is in our life.
