Matthew 6:33 3 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (NIV)

This has been one of my major guiding verses.  It’s among the first few verses I memorized.  Jesus said the kingdom of God is within us when we accept Him into our hearts, minds and lives as our Lord and Savior.  Since His kingdom is within us we must make every endeavor to seek it, nurture it and let it grow more and more within us.  We do this through worship, prayer, meditation and studying the Holy Bible.  We are also to seek the righteousness of Jesus.  Jesus is righteousness.  We seek His righteousness the same way we seek the kingdom of God.  These are first in our hearts, minds and lives.  Everything else will fall into order if we keep God as our priority.  Our question is, what are we most seeking?  Let’s take some time out today to check our priorities.
