Matthew 7:21 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (NIV)

Many today call themselves Christians but, as we read yesterday, their fruits don’t confirm it.  They have had to take many verses out of the Bible for they choose not to obey them.  We can’t choose which of God’s commands for living we will follow and which ones we will claim are not for today.  God doesn’t change nor do His commands.  They think, because God is love, it is okay for them to continue to walk in sin because it is no longer sin in this day and age and if it were, God would forgive them anyway.  There is no need for repentance(turning away from the sin) as God’s forgiveness doesn’t require it from them because of His love.  It is so sad that they are so deceived by the desires of the flesh and the changes in culture.  Those who do their best to obey the will of the Father must pray for and set an example for and speak in love to those who have changed the rules of daily living as recorded in the Holy Bible.  We must ask ourselves if there are rules of God we have chosen not to follow.  If so, we must confess, repent and ask the Holy Spirit to lead us away from that path and stand strong in obedience.
