Matthew 10:32 32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. (NIV)

Acknowledging Jesus before others is not limited to vocal confession.  Many claim to be followers of Jesus.  Acknowledging must also be confirmed through our actions.  When we’re at work, do others see Jesus in our attitude?  When we’re driving in traffic are we respectful of other drivers?  We must acknowledge Jesus in every area of our lives and in every way we speak, express our feelings and do.  We are quick to judge others for their words or actions that don’t give glory to Jesus but what about our own actions.  It’s not only our vocal words or our actions, our thoughts as well need to be thoughts that confirm our acknowledgement of Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  Lent is a good time to check this out.  Personally, I am giving up judging and critiquing others in my own thoughts.  I’ve learned not to do this out loud but it’s still in my thought pattern.  I’m replacing it with thoughts of others being so loved by God and wanting His best for them.  We must be honest with ourselves and open to hearing God.
