Matthew 11:27-28 27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. (NIV)

It’s hard to believe that there are some whom God doesn’t choose to reveal Himself to.  If you are reading this, you are not one of those.  You are one He has chosen to reveal Himself to.  Our problem is not really looking and listening for that revelation.  God wants us to know Him intimately.  He created us for intimacy.  He reveals Himself to us through His written word (the Bible), through His Son, Jesus, through His Holy Spirit and through others who know Him intimately.  It takes time and communication to know someone intimately.  Communication must be 2-way.  We must talk and we must listen.  We must ask ourselves if we really want Him to reveal Himself to us.  If we do, are we doing our part to really get to know Him?  Do we talk to Him the first thing when we wake up and the last thing before we sleep?  Let’s check our hearts and minds to be sure we are open and eager to do all we can to receive all the revealing God wants us to have.
