Matthew 12:33 33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.

We are told in Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. (NIV) These are the fruit every child of God should bear.  The seeds of these fruits are implanted in us when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and receive His Holy Spirit.  The seeds need to be nourished and watered by the Holy Spirit as we read, study and meditate on the Holy Scriptures and learn to put the fruit to practice in our lives.  We must ask ourselves very honestly how we are doing with the growth and use of these fruits.  Are we nurturing each and every one?  If not, which ones are we lacking?  Take each one of these fruits in prayer and listen to God as He directs us in how we are doing and encourages us to continue to allow the fruits to grow and flourish in and through us.
