Giving Multiplied

Matthew 14:18-19 18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. (NIV)

What we give to God with a thankful heart will be multiplied.  We don’t give out of obligation or just because we are supposed to be giving.  We give out of thanks and love for God, Who He is and what He has  done and does do.  The giving involves our hearts, minds and possessions. We don’t give expecting to get something back.  We give because we want to give.  The little boy wanted to give his 2 fish and 5 loaves to Jesus.  Jesus gave them to God.  God blessed them more times over than we can count.  We must ask what we are holding back from God.  It may be money or possessions or time or a past hurt or anything else.  We need to ask God to show us what it is and choose to give it to Him.  Then watch and see how He blesses us.
