Humble Faith

Matthew 15:28 28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment. (NIV)

It matters not what gender, race, ethnic, education, profession or anything else we are, the only thing needed for our requests to God is faith.  But, we must recognize our unworthiness in and of ourselves to even ask God for anything.  It is only because of His Son, Jesus, that we are given the privilege of talking with Almighty God.  We cannot come to Him in arrogance or pride.  We come to Him in complete humility of our sinfulness and with thanksgiving of the righteousness of Jesus.  We also learn thorough this scripture section the importance of interceding for our children.  This woman was humbling herself as totally worthless in hopes of the attention of Jesus.  We now have the assurance of His attention as long as we have Him as Lord of our lives.  Let us always come humbly before Him and recognize the equality of all who seek Him.
