Acts 2:46-47 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people (NIV)

The people in the early church recorded in Acts met together every day.  They met in the temple and they met in their homes.  When together they praised God.  Meeting together created encouragement to follow in what was called then, “The Way.”   Today we tend to meet together once a week, some not even that often.  If you read the next verse, not quoted here, you will see their numbers grew daily.  Meeting together, enjoying fellowship together, worshiping and praising God together is like vitamin pills to our faith.  You know the saying, a hot coal left by itself will soon go out.  Faith needs encouragement to grow.  We must not only meet together in churches, we must also meet together during the week.  Sometimes it is by phone, sometimes at work, sometimes for a meal.  We must be careful to avoid isolationism.  Let’s build relationships with other believers, encouraging one another and fellowshipping with one another, sharing the insights God gives us during our personal devotions.
